  • My idol

    He was my idol growing up, my brother played with him for the flames. I was at 90% of the game and remember looking up to him and seeing myself. He would sign everything I ever asked without hesitation. He gave me an Elgin watch that I still have to this day, total class act off the ice and after reading this book I realize why he was crying out on the ice later on in his career. Most inspiring book ever!! I'm an alcoholic as well and have been humbled by his story. Thanks Theo your the man

    Although one of my favorite Flames, Theo seems pretty high on how good he was. I do agree he was a top notch forward of that era, but you could see the decline in his play as the years and substance abuse was taking its hold on him. I am happy he has battled and found some inner peace and pray he continues to be a role model for the kids growing up . Well done Theo.
